How much does Maven cost, and how does it work with my Amex medical insurance coverage?
You don’t need to worry about medical insurance coverage or out-of-pocket costs for Maven. If you’re enrolled in an Amex medical plan, Amex fully covers your enrollment in Maven, so you and your spouse/domestic partner can use it at no cost.
If I’m not enrolled in an Amex medical plan, can I use Maven?
No, only colleagues who have enrolled in an Amex medical plan, and their covered spouses or domestic partners, are eligible for Maven.
What types of providers can I connect with through Maven?
Maven experts supplement in-person and clinical care with coaching and education. You can use Maven to book unlimited coaching and educational virtual consultations with providers across more than 35 specialties, including OB-GYNs, mental health specialists, lactation consultants, fertility experts, doulas, pediatricians, and more.
What if I already have an in-person OB-GYN or pediatrician?
You can continue to see your chosen providers. Maven experts supplement in-person care with education and guidance. They do not replace primary or clinical care. However, Maven provides additional support which includes access to a wide range of specialists - from midwives and doulas to diabetes coaches and career coaches - and they’re also available via message or video call 24/7.
Your Maven Care Advocate can also help you find in-person, in-network providers if needed.
How can Maven support partners throughout the parenthood journey?
Spouses and domestic partners can sign up for their own account and benefit from Maven’s provider appointments, articles, videos, and virtual classes. Those enrolled in the Maven partner track for non-birth partners will also receive content that’s specific to their experience.
How do I and/or my spouse/domestic partner sign up?
Signing up for Maven is as easy as downloading the Maven Clinic app to your iOS or Android device and following the prompts to get started. If you'd rather sign up from your desktop, just follow the "Activate your membership" links on this page. Your covered spouse/domestic partner will just need to use your information to validate their own membership when signing up.
