“My favorite part of the job is when we can offer benefits that are important to employees and make a positive impact on their lives. And I truly believe Maven has a positive impact on people’s lives. When you’re trying to start a family, you may not know where to go for resources and support. I wish I had Maven when I was younger and starting my family.”

The challenge

Curia, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), is committed to making an impact—both in patients’ lives and in the lives of its employees. Curia has a younger employee population, with an average age of 34. When the HR team started to notice consistently high maternity claims, they knew they had a chance to foster a more inclusive workplace and enhance benefits to better support young employees and their families. They identified the need for a reproductive health solution that provides personalized, inclusive support for all employees as they start and build their families.

The solution

After vetting several benefits providers, Curia selected Maven as its family benefits partner in 2022 due to the customized support available through the platform. This partnership provided its employee access to Fertility & Family Building, Maternity & Newborn Care, Maven Milk, and Parenting & Pediatrics. The Curia team appreciated that their employees would now have a reliable source of guidance and information for phases of life that are not well-supported by the traditional healthcare system.

Maven’s on-demand clinical support provides Curia employees with access to specialists and expert-approved resources that could be a lifeline in a sea of misinformation. Each employee could now get care customized to them, no matter their path to and through parenthood.

The results

Since Curia launched its partnership with Maven, employees have been using Maven at high rates, with nearly 10 interactions with a Maven Care Advocate per member. Employees have shared positive feedback about how much it means to have a personalized support system and feel heard in vulnerable moments.

In partnering with Maven, Curia doubles down on its commitment to supporting employees, both at work and at home. Maven helps Curia demonstrate to employees and competitors that it is a family-friendly company that goes above and beyond as employees build and raise their families. And its employees are happy about this comprehensive care—across more than 4,000 touchpoints on Maven, Curia employees have given Maven a nearly perfect provider rating of 4.95 out of 5.

"Love the personalized experiences and support system on Maven," says one Curia employee and Maven member. "Everyone is so positive and it’s just refreshing to be heard.”

“I’m thrilled about the participation. Maven’s employee engagement toolkits make it so we can be efficient in our communications with employees. They’ve been very helpful in spreading the word about this wonderful benefit.”
